Look Fantastic box review March πŸ’Œ

So I’ve finally used all 6 products from my first #LFBEAUTYBOX so I thought I would let you know how I got along.

The Morphe highlighter is a dream, it came in shade ‘spark’ which is a lovely golden nude. I’m a sucker for a highlighter anyways but this has made me want to try more of the Morphe range.

Next is The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% +B5. I’m new to the acid world but I have another ordinary product that I had been trying for a few weeks before this one which I fell in love with, its helped clear my skin so much so I’ve been mixing up both products and I can’t find anything negative. My skin is feeling hydrated and smooth so I’m so happy with this. Also a little goes such a long way with The Ordinary products.

Probably my favourite out of the 6 products is the Omorovicza cleansing foam. I just LOVE it. It’s become my second clense and I’m dreading it running out. It’s a lovely cleansing foam, makes me skin feel so soft and takes of any excess make up I have on. I need more, anyone use this know where I can get it from in the UK??

I used the Madara Smart charcoal and mud repair mask for the first time this evening and I’m impressed. My skin feels lovely and has left a lovely glow. Think I’ve got a few uses left in this so yet to decide if I will get another of this product because I have so many masks already πŸ™ˆ.

The EOS lip balm is a handbag essential. Smells lovely, round design is perfect for applying. Another lovely lip balm to add to the collection. This is going to last me forever also.

Finally the rituals hand cream. I’m not crazy about the smell of this one and usually only use hand cream at my desk at work. I probably won’t be purchasing this one but that is just due to not being a huge hand cream fan.

Really looking forward to what goodies box 2 brings…

Imagine sticking to one foundation… πŸ’«

So something I love to try is foundation. Due to my skin being so oily its something I struggled with for so long. I always thought the thicker the better… after about the age of 20 I realised that made me worse. Clogged pores ect, just not a good look. I can’t even tell you how many I have tried (I reckon it would be over 25 πŸ€”). Below are some of my favourites.

So there’s two MAC foundations I use. Face and body I tend to use in the summer for a really light coverage or if I’m just nipping to the shops. I use the face and body in shade N1, it’s really light so this is a no if I have a tan (fake normally πŸ™ƒ).

The other MAC is one I have used for years, the studio fix foundation in shade NW15. This used to be my every day foundation but I have been finding it too heavy recently. I tend to use this if I’m away as it has SPF.

Another I love and I’m sad to say it’s currently empty is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic foundation in 5. When I first got this is HATED it (thick foundation stage) I then went back to it about 6 months later and fell in love. It’s so lovely and light and glowy, it’s just beautiful and something you have to try. Must get more πŸ₯°.

Now to my two current faves. My every day foundation and a brand I discovered about a year and a half ago is Fenty Beauty. I had to go to Bristol for the nearest Harvey Nics (about a 1.5 hour drive me for me) to get colour matched and it was SO worth it. The girl on the counter was lovely and super helpful, I wear this in shade 190. It’s maybe a medium to full coverage, doesn’t move at all all day and goes on like a dream. Can’t reccomend enough and I cant wait to try more from the range. Love you rih rih πŸ–€πŸ–€

If I have a few more breakouts than usual I go straight to my NARS Natural Radiant Longwear foundation in Fiji. It’s full coverage and doesn’t make me glow after wearing it for a few hours. It’s nearly empty 😫 but I will be getting another soon.

Below is a little picture with no filters so you can see the shades.

Do you have any more recommendations for me?? I love trying a foundation πŸ€—.

Super exciting Spectrum Saturday πŸ›

So today has been a bit of a mad one. One of my favourite brands happens to be owned by two fabulous Welsh girls ‘Spectrum’ make up brushes 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. So when the girls announced they would be doing a sample sale it was a no brainer for me! They’re offices are based just over an hour away but honestly things like this do not happen in Wales πŸ˜‚. So 9.30am this morning we set off to Penarth thinking we would be one of the first few… we we so wrong.

The queue was huge, we totally underestimated it as did the girls (Sophie & Hannah the owners, who are so lush btw). Now I’m not the the most patient of people I will be the first to admit but all the girls in the queue were so excited for this time went quickly, it was pretty cold but honestly all we did was laugh! 3.5 hours later (my feet were freezing) we got in. The office I’ve seen from the girls snap is so lush and it really is. So colourful and stylish πŸ’“. The room with all the stock was super busy but everyone just excited and showing each other things. I did actually set myself a Β£40 budget and stuck to it, proud moment πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ.

Here is what I got below and I am obsessed, my spectrum collection is now huge and I love them all! You NEED to try these brushes if you haven’t already there vegan friendly also. Love love love all the colours πŸ’—πŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ–€.

What a Saturday, so worth it even if it did take up all my day and honestly I’ve laughed all day. Major thank you again to the spectrum sisters absolutely slaying and flying the flag for the Welsh #GIRLBOSS.

Hope everyone has a lush weekend.

First Look Fantastic Delivery πŸ’Œ

Hi lovelies, I hope everyone is having a good start to the week.

So last week I signed up for two subscription boxes. One was Birchbox and one Look Fantastic.

The look fantastic one arrived first and first impressions were good, I love pretty packaging. Loved the Elle magazine and just all around presentation was great. Below is what I got.

The first thing that I got was a Morphe mini highlighter in ‘spark’. I have a Morphe eyeshadow pallet and are familiar with the brand, great quality for even better prices. I have never tried any other products though so I’m excited to try this. Its a lovely golden colour so excited to try this one 😍.

The second product is Omorovicza cleansing foam. I’ll be honest I’ve never heard of the brand but always willing to try new thingsπŸ€—. It contains white lupin to energise the skin. Let you know how this one goes.

Third product us The Ordinary hyaluronnic acid 2% + B5. I have recently discovered this brand and I’m obsessed with the niacinamide and zinc so excited to try another product from these guys!

The next is a rituals of sakura soothing hand balm. I love to keep a hand cream at my desk so this will be my new addition. It contains shea butter and organic rice milk πŸ’“.

Next we I got a Madara smart anti-pollution charcoal and mud repair mask. Now I LOVE a face mask so this is exciting. I haven’t heard of the brand so excited to try, I have a charcoal and a mud mask but both together sounds great!

Finally we have a EOS lip balm πŸ’•. Also obsessed with lip balms and I’ve always loved the look of a EOS so I’m excited to try. Love that it’s organic and natural too.

I’ll let you know how I get on with these products. If you have used them please let me know any tips or feedback 😘.

First ever #pinkwednesday

Ok while creating my first #pinkwednesday I realised my lack of pink skincare products (well packaging) something I can work on πŸ’ΈπŸ’•.

Make up, no problem lots of pink there which I’m sure will feature in my next pink post.

I haven’t actually tried the origins mask.. I normally mask on a Sunday so this might be a first try this week. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I’ve mentioned it below but I really can’t praise Spectrum brushes enough. This is just a few of many but they are just lush! They’re super soft, design is amazing and also cruelty free. I’m already thinking of my next purchase. “So fetch”. The below are from the mean girls collection so very appropriate today.

Hope everyone’s had a lovely Wednesday 😚.

Self care is Skin care πŸ§–πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

So here goes… I have been thinking of doing this forever and am finally in that “why the hell not” mood πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ. So I am just your average 20 something girl who had a make up obsession which soon turned into a skincare obsession. If I thought my make up habbit was expensive well the skincare one is worse!

I know that glow is in, but my glow has never been out! I have the world’s most oily skin (maybe a slight exaggeration πŸ€”) but that’s how it feels. Everyone I tell is like “well that’s good less wrinkles”. Well yes that is an advantage but looking shiny 24/7 is not a look I enjoy. I also am so prone to a breakout, lucky me eh? Stress, bad eating, sun, alcohol…you name it pays me a little visit on my face. So I decided about a year and a half ago to swerve the make up counters and focus on skincare. So here we are, about to try and control the shine and keep the glow to a minimum when required.

I’ll keep you posted…
